Saturday 10/27
- Hey Paul, just checkin' in.
I wanted to know if I understand what you said about the parity of revenues.
If a Plus one game is played, would it be in addition to the current title games? Would the revenues from the Plus one be similar to those of the Rose Bowl, which brings in the least amount?
If a Plus one is played, does it have to replace a title game, and if so, would it replace The Rose Bowl simply because the revenues would be a wash?
In either case, did we decide that our proposal format should be an article that describes how the Plus one format affects the revenues of the BCS?
I found this link and this link on the NCAA.org website. You may already know about them. Does this information contribute to our proposal?
PAC 10 and Big 10 make up the Rose Bowl - They earn revenues that are greater than the revenues from the individual bowls.
I am unable to make it to class today, but I hope you saw some of the stuff I did this weekend. I'll also be available to do some stuff before Tuesday to get us started drafting a proposal. Just let me know what you need or want me to do. :)
Thanks,
Paul
Hey Paul,
If you still have that thesis statement from Wed., can you paste it on the page?
Do you know the names of the university presidents involved in the BCS? We should try to contact them to get their feedback. I realize they may not respond, but I think we have to attempt to make contact.
I'm still trying to figure out the format of this proposal. I believe it should look similar to a policy proposal and address issues outlined here
This is what he wants on a single page and due Wed.
