Grading of Paul by James
I would give Paul a 23. He targeted a certain audience and did a very good job talking to that audience. Also, his remixes were very helpful and effective.
Do I want to read it again? Yes I would not mind reading it again. It was informative and entertaining. It even made me laugh a little.
Do I understand it's purpose? Yes the purpose is very clear because he describes it well throughout the document then sums it up well in the end.
Would a recognizable community of users understand the writer's purpose? Yes I would say many sports fan or spouses of sports fans could understand the purpose of this narrative
Can I recognize and follow the lines of narrative, argument, and inquiry it promises and endeavors to develop, can I follow the directives it offers to users? Yes, although I feel the argument could have been made differently to encompass all sports fans and not only men, but I could recognize and follow it.
Have I come away from the narrative with a fresh perspective on the topic(s)? I already shared this perspective but I did have a fresh perspective after reading this narrative.
How well does the wiki space you are engaging and evaluating draw from and deploy relevant tools of narrative and argument (definition, analogy, cause, evaluation) for its case? The wiki space does a decent job of using the tools of narrative and argument to make its case
Can I find places where the narrative could have been strengthened? I think the structure and argument could have been strengthened somewhat. As I already said, I think it would have made for a better argument if it dealt with sports fan in general
Was the space composed in an accessible manner? Yes, very much so.
Now trace the remixing activity performed by writer of the narrative project under review. How effective is this rhetorical performance? I feel Paul did a good job with his remixes. He did not do anything dramatic with the narratives but he helped make them more clear and effective.
