Hey Everyone,
My name is Nickel Nunes, and I'm a Marketing major. I just recently recieved my Associate's Degree in Psychology at Saint Petersburg College. I work for Macy's Credit and Customer Service in the Credit Granding department. It will be a year in October. When I'm not working I enjoy hanging out with friends and being involved in church, at the Calvary Chapel Saint Petersburg. I also volunteer as a Doorways mentor at my old middle school for three 8th grade girls. On campus I'm involved in InterVarsity Christian Fellowship. My main purpose in life is to seek and follow the ways of the Lord.

First Weeks Thoughts:
It brought some comfort to see that some of my fellow classmates are confused as I am. I'm sure we can all get through this class together and get past the lost and confused stage. By the end of the semester maybe we will all become Wiki experts.

Misson Statement for the course:
My vision for this course is getting something out of it beyond a letter grade. I want grow and learn from my peers, and have the necessary tools of Professional Writing instilled in me for my future career.
By the end of this course I will walk out with a more developed knowledge on Professional Writing.

---- Hey Nick it's Viv, I wanted to brief you on today's class - we grouped up and did narratives. You can view Karalyn's and mine to get an idea but basically you need to have the following:
1. Actor (Karalyn's was herself and mine was the class)
2. Action - (Karalyn's was the delivery and mine was the discussion at the luncheon)
3. Goal - (Karalyn's was to have healthy puppies and mine was to get credit for coming to class)
4. Intention - (Karalyn's was to deliver the puppies and mine was to provide feedback to the English Department staff)
5. Scene - (Karalyn's was her house and mine was the luncheon)
6. Instruments - (Karalyn's were her hands and mine was the English Department staff.)
If you haven't already written one, you can write about any topic - maybe a mentoring session with one of your girls would be good. I hope this heads up helps you til we see you Wednesday. :)
p.s. The best definitional writing example is Paul's. He basically identified his audience as "non-English Majors" and he claimed that attending a Professional Writing course would benefit them because...
I'm still working on my claim

Nickel, you're off to a great start. I've added some descriptions next to each link, as a guide for visitors looking for clues as to where to go next. You can revise these descriptions in your own words.
