Grading guide: Mili

I am persuaded to give a 25. Structurally and functionally, all the criteria were met. Her audience is stated, her argument is clear and has plenty of support from other sources. Very well-composed, making it easy for the reader to follow along with the writer's thought process.

The criteria for narratives:

Do I want to read it again?

Yes, and visit the links also.

Do I understand it's purpose?

Clearly, to make an argument that offshore outsourcing is good for the economy.

Would a recognizable community of users understand the writer's purpose?

Yes, those who know all about offshore outsourcing would know, but enough information is given so those who don't know (like me) still understand.

Any supporting research?

Plenty of sites for further information and reference.

Do I want to actualize any of the goals of the paper?

The goal is to persuade the reader, which she does a good job of with supporting points and references.

Are these goals ascertainable, that is, can I find the document's "starting points" and assumptions (premises)?

Absolutely.

Can I recognize and follow the lines of narrative, argument, and inquiry it promises and endeavors to develop?

Broken into sections as she did it, posing a question and then answering it, proves effective.

Can I follow the directives it offers to users?

Through the links, definitely.

Have I come away from the narrative with a fresh perspective on the topic(s)?

A whole new persepctive.

How well does the wiki space you are engaging and evaluating draw from and deploy relevant tools of narrative and argument (definition, analogy, cause, evaluation) for its case?

It provides links to references, but that's the only function the wiki helps with.

Can I find places where the narrative could have been strengthened?

Not really. Very strong.

Was the space composed in an accessible manner?

Yes, with links forward and back through her portfolio.

Was it designed for ease of use?

Yes.

The criteria for remixes:

How effective is this rhetorical performance?

Yes, and with good record of the changes she made to improve the composition.

Some revisions aim to introduce new ideas to peer narratives in process.

A little bit, but she revised narratives with clear ideas.

Are these sharp remixes stimulating?

Yes.

Her remixes improve the entries by getting closer to the original author's goal by making the composition more clear and concise without changing the information and idea being conveyed.
