Can someone help me understand what I am doing wrong when I am linking because sometimes it works properly and sometimes it doesn't?

My understanding is that you copy the url and paste it on your page w/ a at the beginning and at the end? What am I doing wrong?--Stacey Padgett

- I hope the philosophy of "there is no such thing as a stupid question" applies in this class - Vivian Irick

Q: Can anyone help on this assignment? "create 3 links within this wiki, between peer writing. Bridge at least one of these links with a fresh new page, linked to both wiki pages found to be resonant. Annotate, explain, or reflect on these connections, which may causal,or acausal; meaningful, or nonsensical"

Q: How is this assignment done?

Q: Is the creation of links the same as copying and pasting the selected urls onto the page and enclosing them with brackets?

Q: Am I supposed to have more than one page? Currently I have 4 pages and I would only like two: VivanIrick and Vivian Irick Assignments.

Q: How do you put a banner on the page? I like the bamboo feature.

Q: Larissa asked, "So what comes next? Do we have assignments? Where are these assignments located?"

A: Whenever you are lost, look to the CourseCalendar. For this week's prompts, scroll down to MondayAugustTwentySeventh. -ShareRiff

Q. James asked, "Hey Dr. Conner just wanted to tell you I copied you banner. I hope that is ok"

A. James, you can call me Trey. Yes, by all means sample and repurpose code you find on the wiki. Creative Commons!

Q: I made two "new pages" and I am not sure where they went...has anyone seen them. They are labeled "My manifesto" and "imadeanewpage-wherediditgo"??-Karalyn

- hi Karalyn, I found the "my manifesto" in search.

Q: Thanks!! I lost it because I was trying to do a "new page" off of my own page. I totaly forgot how to do it...I was on my page and hit "new page" made the new page and it dissappeared, like it didn't go onto my page...what do I need to do??

Wikis are highly tune-able

Hey all, as you navigate the initial layout of the wiki, please consider this crucial distinction between wikis and the usual CMS systems....wikis are highly configurable! This is your wiki, and you can configure it any way you like. If the start-up layout is confusing, grow yer own! This should give your direction for how you might organize your personal wiki space.

Please avoid the Comments-feature

I forgot to mention this...it's important to do your writing on wiki pages...including your comments. Comments tend to get buried, and forestall sharing, learning, and unexpected surprise value that might emerge from a given issue/topic. Thanks!!

Professor Connor, I think i might have edited out your example on the Bricks and Mortor Class Roster page and replaced it with my own... is that ok?

JackShammas

Yes, yes, by all means replace, revise, remix....it's the wiki imperative. Click edit and make it bettah!

jack, bring you questions out onto the wiki. Try not to panic! I know, easier said than done...but maybe just drift on the wiki for a while. Everything we need to know so far is here, and if we keep writing, it will unfold...

Hey everyone! I have a question that I have been confused about since day one of this class... On the course calendar, it will have like "week _" and then it will say that something is due sunday night by midnight... is that the sunday before those dates of that week, or the sunday at the end of that week? I have always been confused with this class, please help!
