I thought this was an interesting narrative. It shed light on a subject many of us overlook, which is that our vote may not count as much as we think.
RHETORICAL RUBRIC
Do I want to read it again?
Yes I found it interesting.
Do I understand it's purpose?
Yes it was pretty clear. I thought it was to get people interested in the democratic process.
Would a recognizable community of users understand the writer's purpose?
Yes, I don't see why not. As an automatic reaction people's interest will peak when this subject is brought up.
Do I want to actualize any of the goals in the paper?
That's hard to say. The point of the paper was to get people interested in how we elect politicians, I would like to actualize that goal.
Are these goals ascertainable, that is, can I find the document's "starting points" and assumptions (premises)?
Specific goals weren't that ascertainable.
Can I recognize and follow the lines of narrative, argument, and inquiry it promises and endeavors to develop?
I can see where the narrative is going. I felt it could've went a little further though, maybe telling people how they can make a difference in the voting process. It sort of left like "this is the way it is, now what?" instead of telling people what could be done.
Can I follow the directives it offers to users?
Not really. It doesn't offer specific directives.
Have I come away from the narrative with a fresh perspective on the topic?
Yes. I didn't realize the extent of the situation he explained in the paper.
How well does the wiki space you are engaging and evaluating draw from and deploy relevant tools of narrative and argument (definition, analogy, cause, evaluation) for its case?
I thought it used it well. It could've been stronger with a more proactive look at the subject.
Can I find places where the narrative could have been strengthened?
Yes there were a few grammatical errors. Also I felt he left the readers wondering what they should do next.
Was the space composed in an accessible manner?
Yes
Was it designed for ease of use?
Yes
